Welcome to the District ONE website

Greetings District ONE Toastmasters! 

Thanks to all of you, District ONE continues to meet or exceed our communication and leadership goals.  22 clubs have achieved Distinguished Status, 10 have reached Select Distinguished, and one has reached President’s Distinguished.  District ONE now ranks among the top Districts in Toastmasters International in the world!    

District ONE is growing!  We have 8 new clubs this year, with several more close to chartering.  Mentors help new clubs start out on the right foot and Club Coaches support existing clubs who want extra help.  Contact Lt. International & Evaluation Speech Contest season is coming up.  Winners advance from Club, to Area, to Division, to the District Contest at the May 1 Spring Conference.  District winners will represent District ONE at the Toastmasters International Convention in August in Palm Desert. 

Attention Club Treasurers and Presidents:

The Critical IRS 990-N Deadline is approaching!  According to the IRS, every U.S. club must file IRS form 990-N no later than May 15, 2010 for the year ending December 31, 2009,  or it could  lose its non-profit tax exempt status under Toastmasters International.  Please complete the form now to protect your club!
