As a service to the community, District One Toastmasters offers free speakers who can make presentations on a wide variety of topics or can give keynote speeches or act as emcee at special events. Speeches vary in length from 20 minutes to a full-day seminar. These speakers have attained at least the Competent Toastmaster level and belong to clubs in the District One territory, an area consisting of more than 90 clubs stretching along the coast from Santa Monica to Long Beach.
The District One Speakers Bureau is a free service that provides local community groups, businesses, and organizations with knowledgeable, skilled speakers to help them achieve their goals, while enabling Toastmasters members to benefit from opportunities to give presentations in a variety of settings.
When requests for speakers are submitted, the Speakers Bureau team scans the list of available speakers and topics to find the right match for the requester.
Bold face topics are covered by current Speakers Bureau members. Subjects are bolded as new members join the Bureau. Community groups: If you're looking for someone to speak on a topic not shown on this list, contact us at the address below. We may have someone for you!

So, you're a Competent Toastmaster or above, looking for ways to stretch your speaking skills even further. Have some expertise or knowledge in certain topics that you want to share? Then sign up today for the District One Speakers Bureau by filling out the Speakers Bureau application and mailing it to the address on the form.

When we assign you for a speaking engagement, we will send you instructions and tips that will help make your presentation a success.
Please note that you may not accept payment if you are assigned by the District One Speakers Bureau. (Donations can be sent to District One to help support its educational goals.) However, if you wish to make arrangements on your own for a subsequent presentation to the same group, there is no such restriction.
The District One Speakers Bureau is here to help you meet your organization’s goals by providing experienced and knowledgeable presenters. There is no charge for this service. Speakers Bureau members have achieved at least the Competent Toastmaster level, which means they have given at least ten project speeches designed to help them make well organized presentations using effective vocal and physical techniques to get their message across in the most effective manner. Toastmasters receive constructive feedback after every speech project, which helps them sharpen their skills. Many of them have also attained Competent or Advanced Leader designations, through which they have gained practical experience in leading and working with teams to effect positive results.
